Windows 10 is a personal computer operating system released by Microsoft in 2015. With the ability to run on a wide range of devices, from traditional desktop and laptop computers to tablets and smartphones. Windows 10 also introduces a number of new features, such as the Cortana digital assistant and the Microsoft Edge web browser. Overall, Windows 10 is designed to be a more user-friendly and versatile operating system than its predecessors.
Put your bootable device (USB or DVD) in your computer. Reboot the computer and wait if you see the “Press any key” button. If you cannot see this, you need to change your boot order. This can be done in the BIOS or with (mostly) F10 or F12. You can enter your BIOS with F1, F2, F10, or with CTRL + ALT + DEL. Press all keys multiple times right after you boot your device. Mostly this step needs some practice, the hardest part of installing Windows in my opinion.

Be fast, press a key to install Windows on this computer.
Press any key to boot from CD or DVD…
Choose your language, timezone, and keyboard layout.
Press “Install Now”
Enter the product key, or don’t use one
Choose the Windows version
If you haven’t entered a product key you can choose multiple versions. In my example, I select “Windows 10 Pro”.
Accept the statement
Read the whole statement (joke). Just accept and go on :).
Install or upgrade your Windows OS
If you want to upgrade your installation to Windows 10, choose upgrade.
Otherwise, choose the “Custom” install. I will go on with a fresh installation.
Select the drive where to install Windows
Now it’s time to select your hard drive. When the computer is used before today, you need to delete your previous partitions first.
BE CAREFULL! Select the right drive, otherwise, your “old” data will be lost (if you have no backup). Select only the drives where your previous Windows Installation was installed. With the “Delete” button you can remove your old Windows Partition. You can go on with the installation if you have one drive with Unallocated space available. Like the image below.
Sit back and wait.

If you want to add a second keyboard layout. I will skip this step.
Connect to a network
Choose your purpose for the installed client
Login to your newly installed computer
Now you can log in with your Microsoft account. This can be a @outlook.com or a @hotmail.com account for example. In this example, I had no internet connection so I will use a local account.
Creating a Password for my local account. If you have an account already you need to enter your password.
I like all services from Microsoft so I accept this. If you like your privacy, don’t accept this.
The detailed privacy section. Like I said I will accept everything. But consider what you want to share with Microsoft! If you value your privacy share nothing with them.
